Oh the 4th. Fireworks (okay for me that is sparklers), a bit of rain (even though it is New Mexico), cooking way too much food (including my best pie), and prepping drinks (on a hot day there is nothing better).I picked strawberries and rhubarb for my pie. Of course I didn't have enough berries and had to buy some ... but the fresh flavor should be lovely!
The cut outs in the top are of a flower and gnomes. Summer just isn't summer without gnomes!
