Pretty In Pink

The socks are complete. I'm in love with them. They came out perfect. I think from here on out I might do "shorter" socks. I'm not such a fan of the tall ones. Now I get to start the March socks (blue lace ones). Photos to come.

Day 3 - NOTHING

Day 3 was yesterday. We didn't even take a photo. There is NO DIFFERENCE. Yes my face is a bit dry. But I was told I would look like a snake loosing its skin. And nothing. I'm a bit upset about this. $100 down the drain. For $100 I would expect for 2 layers of flesh to come off.

Right now I'm on hold with the doctors office. It has been 5 minutes and I'm still on hold. Someone had better get back to me soon.

The doctor called me back. Turns out that my face may still peel - but I have to give it through the weekend. If not, I get to go back in next week for a free peel. Lucky me. I'll keep you posted though.

Day 2 - No Peel

Day 2 is coming to an end and my face is showing no more signs of the chemical peel. The doctor told me that by today my face would be bright red. And yet - I see nothing too different from yesterday. See photo. My face is a bit bubbly - like a light sun burn. But, that is about it. I'm hoping that by tomorrow it starts coming off.

I'm finding the whole blog thing wonderful. This evening we are hanging out watching Bones and I'm knitting. I'm hoping to have the pink socks done this evening. I should be wrapping up the rest of my projects this weekend. Next Thursday night we are going to RV down to Deming for Mike's second race weekend. I can't wait to get on the road and get more projects done.

A Dirty Job

Christopher Moore is one of the greatest writers of our time. His books are so captivating that I sign up to get the newest ones as soon as possible. My signed copy of his latest book showed up last night. I'm only on chapter 2 and am loving it. Moore sense of humor is raw and out there. If you have never read one of his books, I strongly recommend you buy one.

Face Peel Anyone? Day 1

So this afternoon I go in to see my doctor and the decision for a face peel was reached. My girlfriend Dana wants to be kept up to date on the progress of my face. So, I'm posting photos. Hopefully my face doesn't get too nasty too quickly. You may be wondering - what is a face peel? Well ... first you wash your face. Then you scrub it with alcohol for 2 minutes. After that you scrub it for 4 minutes with acetone. After that - 2 more minutes with alcohol. Finally the doctor rubs your face with acid. Basically the whole top layer of my face will be coming off over the next 4 days. Sweet.

Blog - Blog - Oh Blog

This is my first posting. I was out surfing the web the other day and noticed that a lot of great knitters have wonderful blog sites to chat about knitting and life in general. I figured I could get on the wagon as well. So welcome to my blog.

Currently I'm working on a number of knitting projects. I've joined a sock of the month club, with a girlfriend Rebecca . It has been a blast so far. And these sock (January's sock actually) are currently under progress.

Sock one is complete, and sock two is in the works. I'm totally in love with these - I think they might be the best socks so far in the kits.

Thanks for reading my blog.
