Well in my better vs well experimenet this is what I've found.
a) Hanging out with family and friends - eating and crafting and watching football isn't bad (and as a matter of fact sort of rocks).
b) There is always a sale somewhere.
c) Once you decide not to buy stuff the book that you have been looking for (for the past year) will go on sale from $22 to $3. Go figure.
I'm sure I wont update every day ... but today struck me as strange with the after holiday sales pinging me like mad!
