Pondering.
I hate not being organized. One of those things that just gets under my skin and drives me nuts. While at the local hardware store yesterday I got some 1/2 gallon jars for putting dried stuff in. I like to be able to see what is in them and have them be nice and tightly sealed (not that we have rodents or anything). When I told Katie (the super old lady at the shop) what I was doing with them she said, "When my kids were young and a mouse had gotten into the white rice - I just told them it was wild rice. They never knew the difference and it was cooked. They didn't die or anything"
Mike got home from 2 weeks over seas. One day at home (relaxing on the couch with Methow) and then this morning he was off again (we got up at 2am so that he could catch a 6am flight).
So here is my pondering. I'm sipping my black cup of coffee and eating a waffle covered in fresh berries and thinking about cleaning (go ahead - call me OCC). I'd like to move everything from the kitchen out and just start over. Maybe even replace the sink, counters ... the whole kit and caboodle. Of course this is a far off dream (there are other things on the house re-model list that come first). But, to get part way there I could always reorganize. How much time do other people spend doing this? Are you forever finding the PERFECT spot for your things?

Happy Valentines.
We had a fantastic valentines. One of those days that was just perfect. Breakfast out, working on the RV together, cooking together and relaxing in the hot tub together. The cats even got their very own steak. We had raspberry champagne, triple chocolate cake and surf and turf for dinner.
The original TV series V came on Syfy today. I wonder if they should have played it for V-day?

Another RV Day.
Here is the first bit of thin-set that was put down for the tile. We first moved in all the furniture to make sure everything would fit - then we cleaned up everything. Got ready for tiling - and took off. This thin-set is some special blend that bends and can handle really hot and cold temperatures.
Here is what the kitchen area looks like - still the edges to do - but it is coming along.
Happy smiles of a job well done and a nice cold beer in hand!

RV coming along.
Well the RV furniture came. The boxes took up almost half the garage. We unboxed them and got the captains chairs into the RV. We also got the newly covered window treatments in as well. Next is day/night shades and tiling the floor. The thin-set is suppose to be in today so I'll be running to ABQ to get it.

The Onion.
While out at dinner we got a blooming onion (yes ... Outback steak house ... which I had never been to before). We were testing out a better technique for taking photos with the iphone and I got this gem.
On a side note we did watch The Onion movie the other week. It was okay. I would probably never watch it again and could have lived without seeing it (in case you were interested in renting it).

Snow Dance.
Yesterday we had another snow storm. I love the leaving work early - sitting by the fire and enjoying some down time with the silence (that only comes from the soft down flakes as they fall). Ah. I love this time of year!
All in all we probably got 5-7 inches (hard to say since it would come and then stop and then come again). I wonder if a visit to the ski hill is in order for next weekend?

How Do You Spend Your Time?
Back around 9 years ago Mike and I lived with Kevin. Kevin used to say that I would get more done before 8am than he would get done all day. I'm not sure about Monday-Friday (work wise) but on home stuff ... for sure. So what was this weekend? Well during the turn of the year I always put together a year in review book (which just arrived). I start planting seeds for the spring. And cleaning up unfinished projects around the house (a shadow box from our Japan trip).
